Happy Thankgiving. Giving Thanks!

Happy Thankgiving. Giving Thanks!

On the eve of Thanksgiving I would just like to share my extreme love and gratitude with you all. This last 30 days of my life has been brilliantly trans-formative in so many ways, and even in the last year of my life, I couldn’t

A couple of Saturdays ago I was lucky enough to take part in a fashion blogger get together. As you know I’m not a fashion blogger but one of my very good friends Stephanie from the-loudmouth.com is and she had invited me to dine with

A gesture of gratitude March

At the end of the month I always wonder where the time has gone. So many beautiful, terrible, wonderful, painful, and all the other moments in between have happened and sometimes I think it’s easy for us to get carried away with these feelings.  I’ve found that by just sitting and connecting with my soul, this allows me to have a great amount of gratitude for everyone and everything in my life.

I also believe firmly that my yoga practice really does reiterate these principles into my life. I am currently on my 26th day of yoga in a row, completing my 30 day challenge shortly. I haven’t felt this amazing in a very long time. The strength comes from a very different place, there I find it peaceful, my soul is accepting, and my passion is kind. These are things I need in my life. They come into alignment with my practice and I haven’t felt of service to myself and others the way I’m capable of being when I’m practicing.

So at the close of this month I come from a place of gratitude and love to you all.

I’m grateful for the efforts many bloggers put forth in making the online bake sale to aid Japan at thetomatotart.com a huge success over 2500 dollars was raised and were still waiting for the totals. At last glance my Carrot short bread were at 50$ and my Cupcakes were at 60$. I’m grateful for those who bid on these items and gave a little piece of themselves to those who need. Once I find out the winning bidders I will post the recipes and thank them on my blog.  Sabrina at thetomatotart.com is truly a remarkable woman for putting this all on please follow her at the tomato tart.

I’m also grateful to Nancy of Spiciefoodie for allowing me to be a part of YBR. YBR stands for Your Best Recipe. It’s a lovely monthly showcase of bloggers from around the world’s favorite recipes. She posts the collection of recipes, which are picked by the bloggers, choosing to participate, on her blog which is featured in some of the hottest food sites online. Nancy is a truly wonderful person, has an amazing eye for food photography, and her flavor profiles and techniques are something we can all learn from. Please check her out http://spiciefoodie.blogspot.com/ and if you blog and would like to be a part of the YBR click this link and comment or please check back at the end of April for more news.

I’m so happy to join such an amazing group on the YBR round up

please enjoy their food by clicking this link March Round up at Spiciefoodie

The entry for this month to highlight in YBR is “The Perfect? Artichoke” This entry is one of my very favorites. It took a lot of time and patience with my hands to photograph the steps but its well worth it. The simple art of vegetable preparation is something that I really do love with all my heart. These photos and this entry sings to that effect. I hope if you haven’t seen them, you’ll take a peek and make them yourself.

I’m grateful to my sweet loudmouth Stephanie at the-loudmouth.com who gave Unrivaledkitch a sweet shout out while she was on her hiatus in Michigan. http://www.the-loudmouth.com/2011/03/blogroll-babes.html.

And lastly I’m grateful to know such a beautiful person as Mrs Monet Moutrie . This beautiful lady and her family have been through a horrible chain of circumstances and through it all she exudes grace, beauty, and strength that I could only imagine. My heart is filled with sorrow for her losses, and I wish her and her family only peace, kindness, love, and healing. Please extend your kind thoughts to this beautiful lady and her family as she goes through something no one should have to. Monet you are loved . To extend a donation to Monet for her families travel expenses to honor her sister and nephew please go to her blog http://anecdotesandapples.weebly.com

The blogging sense of community has really touched my heart.

I’m grateful to be a part of a community which really does care to promote each other, through our faults and our successes. I feel so fortunate to wake up each day with the love I have in my heart when there is so much pain in the world.

Coming back to what we’re grateful for with just a tiny bit of gratitude, one cookie, one sentence, one photo, one comment, one smile at a time.

So much to share.

Thank you Guys
